“DATA CENTERS WITHOUT CRAC’S OR CRAH’S OR OTHER BIG RECIRC FANS??”

“DATA CENTERS WITHOUT UPS’S, STS’S, OR POWER SUPPLIES??”

”SEE WHERE THIS IS BEGINNING TO HAPPEN IN OUR DATA CENTERS TODAY”

Dear Members and Guests of the Critical Facilities Round Table,

Please accept this invitation to our next meeting of the Energy Committee of the Critical Facilities Round Table.  We plan to see two presentations about cutting edge energy efficiency solutions.  This meeting is open to all parties who are interested in Energy Efficiency in Data Center Critical Facilities.

We will witness cooling systems that effectively replace our legacy Computer Room Air Conditioners and Air Handlers and big recirculation fans, while providing very consistent and controlled server inlet temperatures across the data center space.

We will also hear about DC electrical power systems that convert 575Vdc to 54Vdc that enable large scale deployment of 48Vdc servers through mission critical rectifier plants and stored energy systems, that altogether replace legacy AC systems with their UPS’s, PDU’s, Static Transfer Switches, and Switchgear.

Finally, we will hear PG&E announce their newest incentive program for implementing energy efficiency improvements in our data centers.

Then, Altera will provide a tour of their data center for those who are interested in considering their solution in other data centers.  The tour will be limited to data center owners and operators because of security and space limitations there.

Many thanks go to David Lopez and Altera for providing the facilities for our meetings and for the tour of their technology, and thanks to Bill Dunckel and PG&E for the refreshments for our attendees.
